Keep the montage. Replace the material.

Save complete montage templates with source slots, fixed media, scenes, caption recipes and portable files.

Studio Beta in 1.2.0

Save the full montage

  1. Finish an example edit

Arrange tracks, crops, text, motion, both formats and audio. A full template is separate from a smaller channel/format clip preset.

  2. Save full template

Name it generally or for a channel. A channel is optional. Choose a default only when you want automatic selection for future new-template projects.

  3. Classify the sources

Replaceable source becomes a slot for the next recording. Included media retains an independent copy, such as a logo, font, soundtrack, intro or outro.

  4. Review scenes

The dialog proposes boundaries from the main video track. Correct them and choose Fixed duration or Fit source, with one leading source for each flexible scene.

  5. Choose caption exceptions

Save the caption language, style, word highlighting and splitting recipe. New speech is generated again. Mark only deliberate title/intro cues as fixed captions.

What the template keeps

AreaRetained configuration
MontageTracks, layer order, groups, links, visibility and scene backgrounds.
CompositionBoth formats, crops, masks, transforms, effects, keyframes, animations and transitions.
Text/captionsFixed text/font/style/timing, caption recipe and explicitly fixed cues; safe-area margins.
AudioLevels, panorama, mute, fades, looping, normalization and ducking settings.
ExportFormat/frame-rate/quality choices and named ranges.
Fixed mediaIndependent included-media copies. Deleting the original project does not remove them.

Assign clips and create a project

  1. New from template

Choose a saved template. Applying a full template creates a separate project and keeps the current montage.

  2. Assign source slots

Use local files, a Kick URL or channel clip. Discovery and Autoclipping handoffs can fill a single free slot automatically; several slots require an explicit assignment.

  3. Review source ranges

The chosen range normally fills its flexible scene. Shared crops/audio need one assignment and retain a common source clock.

  4. Prepare and review

Preparing media, Applying template, Analyzing audio and Generating captions run only when configured. Review the ready edit before starting export yourself.

Duration and retry behavior

Fixed audio/video is not automatically sped up or stretched. Saved looping is respected. If an included source cannot fill its scene, Studio asks you to correct the assignment/range. A scene-specific background changes only that scene.

During preparation the montage is locked. Cancel retains imported sources and completed results. Retry failed steps runs missing tasks without duplicating finished ones or automatically replacing manual caption corrections. Each completed run/settlement is one Undo operation. Missing speech-model data pauses captions at Download model.

Export and import .uktemplate

Export template includes configuration and included media in a portable .uktemplate file. Import template copies it into this browser's local template library. Replaceable recordings, speech-model weights and executable code are not included.

Templates are stored separately from projects. Deleting a project does not delete its template. Legacy Save clip template presets remain in preference backups; full montage templates use their own portable files.
