Save the edit and the finished video.
Keep portable Studio projects, export Full HD MP4 ranges in both formats and save cover PNGs.
Studio Beta in 1.2.0
Autosave and project files
Studio metadata and imported media autosave in this extension's browser profile, separately from the original Kick tab. Imported media is considered saved only after its local copy finishes. Changing computers/profiles does not transfer those local files by itself.
Save project
Save a .ukstudio file containing project metadata and complete imported media, including audio, images and custom fonts. It is a portable project file, not an MP4.
Load project
Select a saved .ukstudio file. Studio validates it and creates a separate local project, keeping your current montage.
Keep a separate finished video
An MP4 is the rendered output. Saving a project does not automatically export a video, and deleting a project does not remove a file you already saved outside Studio.
Choose format, frame rate and quality
| Choice | Output |
|---|---|
| 9:16 | 1080 x 1920 portrait |
| 16:9 | 1920 x 1080 landscape |
| Frame rate | 30 or 60 fps; default 30 fps |
| Standard video | H.264 at about 8 Mb/s for 30 fps or 12 Mb/s for 60 fps |
| High video | Default quality; about 12 Mb/s for 30 fps or 20 Mb/s for 60 fps |
| Audio | AAC, 48 kHz, 160 kb/s |
Save ranges and queue cuts
Mark a range
Set In/Out in the timeline and save a name for a short or highlight. The output includes the full active composition during that time, not only selected tracks.
Choose the queue
Export the whole project or selected saved ranges in the current format or both formats. The queue processes outputs sequentially.
Review timing warnings
Global ripple updates ranges. Partial track timing edits can flag saved ranges for review; confirm bounds before export.
Start export
The edit is locked while encoding. Follow encoding/finalization progress and estimated size. Save completed MP4 files when offered. After the browser download is requested, the floating Save MP4 action hides and the result row offers Download again. A failed file read keeps Save MP4 available. Check browser downloads for confirmation.
Cancel and recover
Cancel stops active encoding, removes incomplete output and retains the project. In a queue, completed files remain available. Closing the Studio tab ends the current export; reopen the saved project to export again.
Studio checks available disk space before import/export. A full disk stops the operation without deleting unrelated projects. A damaged/unavailable source reports an error rather than claiming a finished MP4.
Save a cover
Place the playhead on the desired frame and use Save cover PNG. The cover uses the full composition at Full HD in the current format. Editing guides and selection outlines are not part of the result.
Review the Studio history
The toolbar popup has a separate Studio tab with Open Studio (Beta), up to 100 dated operation summaries and Clear history. Imports, exports, download requests, file backups, captions/model outcomes and cancelled/failed tasks appear locally, without desktop alerts or unread badges. History persists across restarts and stays outside project/template files and settings backups.
Clear history removes summaries only, independently of project/template/model deletion. The history cannot retrieve a cleaned temporary MP4. A browser download handoff is labelled Download requested; check the browser to confirm completion.
Manage local storage
Use the project list to delete individual projects and inspect occupied storage. Clear Studio projects & media removes Studio project/media data; full templates and the optional speech model have separate removal actions. Browser-profile/site-data cleanup can also remove local data, so retain portable project/template files when needed.
