Community emotes
Enable the emote providers you want, check their permissions and add a specific 7TV set when needed.
Find it in: Toolkit/Chat/Community emotes
Enable providers individually
Choose a provider
Providers start off. Enable only those you want.
Grant its API and image access
Chrome asks for that provider's origins. Denied or revoked access leaves the provider unavailable; it does not request every website.
Load emote preview
Check global counts and the current channel's connected 7TV set. If permission cannot be requested from Toolkit, use extension Options.
What each provider supplies
| Provider | Available coverage |
|---|---|
| 7TV | Global emotes and a set connected to the viewed Kick channel, when available. |
| BTTV | Global emotes. |
| FFZ | Global emotes. |
Exact, case-sensitive emote codes separated by whitespace are replaced in native chat and Mix. Native Kick images and badges stay intact. Provider modifiers, personal cosmetics and a community-emote composer are not supplied.
Use a 7TV set override
Get the set ID
Take the final ID from the intended 7TV emote-set link.
Enter an override
In 7TV channel set overrides, use channel = set ID, one per line, and Save.
Check the preview
Confirm you entered the intended channel and set. Up to 24 overrides are supported.
your_channel = YOUR_SET_IDRequests and turning providers off
Providers receive ordinary anonymous requests, which expose your IP address. 7TV receives the public Kick channel ID for connected-set discovery. Chat text and private notes are not uploaded. Disabling a provider restores native text rather than replaying old history.
Common questions
Why is only a global set visible?
The Kick channel may have no connected 7TV set. Use an explicit valid override when appropriate.
Will an imported backup grant provider access?
No. Browser grants are separate. Enable the provider and respond to its permission action.
Can I keep using native emotes without these services?
Yes. The providers are optional.
Written for version 1.1. Some controls may be unavailable in an earlier installed release. See release notes.
