Audio, video & statistics

Adjust a specific player, remember channel volume and understand the measurements shown in its tools.

Find it in: ToolkitPlayer

Adjust audio per player

Use native volume and tile mute for ordinary playback. Direct player Audio boost supports 1x-10x only when its media source permits safe processing. For a cross-origin source, the toolbar's optional Tab volume captures only that tab's audio and offers 0-600% with a meter, Mute, Reset and Stop. Start modestly; boost can distort loud audio. Enable tab boost requires Chrome 116 or newer and explicit optional permissions.

  1. Enable channel volume memory

Turn on Remember each channel's volume level locally.

  2. Adjust deliberately

Your native or header audio adjustments are saved for up to 100 recent channels. Automatic muting of additional streams is not a saved volume choice.

  3. Clear stored levels if needed

Use Player's clear action to remove saved channel levels.

Video adjustments and speed

Player tools offer local video filters, flips and playback speed. They change your viewing experience. Download tools read their selected source separately; a viewing filter does not become a permanent edit to that source video.

Read statistics correctly

StatisticMeaning
ResolutionDimensions of the currently decoded video.
Frame rateMeasured frame delivery, which may differ from the source's target.
Dropped framesFrames the player did not present.
Source bitrateAdvertised source variant bandwidth, not instantaneous internet speed.
Live buffer delayApproximate distance to the newest downloaded video, not true broadcast latency.

Remember VOD progress

  1. Enable Remember VOD position locally

Watch a VOD to save its observed position.

  2. Enable saved progress on cards

Show saved VOD progress on video cards adds Resume or Watched indicators where known metadata is available.

  3. Return to the video

Use the saved position. Badges ignore records older than 90 days; unknown duration shows a time rather than an invented percentage.
